Wedding FAQs

We have assembled a (hopefully) helpful list of the questions we often get asked covering both our Photography and Videography Packages. Of course, this is by no means an exhaustive list so please always feel free to pop us a message if you find you have any other questions that we haven’t covered below!

How does your Enquiry to Booking and beyond Process work?

If you wish to book with us, simply get in touch, ideally providing us with a date and venue/ destination – this will allow us to confirm whether that date is available first and foremost.

We will then arrange a phone call to go through a few more details regarding your day, what package you are looking at, what things are most important to you as a couple throughout your day.

After this, we will send you an invoice for a deposit to be paid, once the deposit is received, your date is then set in stone for us (with the exception of situations where movement is possible… ahem, covid weddings anyone?!). You will also be sent a contract for both us and yourselves to sign, this is important and just ensures both parties are covered for all eventualities – nothing scary, we promise!

From here, we will discuss with you closer to your wedding date whether you would like to meet us in person prior to your date, whether at your venue, over a coffee or virtually, and we will be always more than happy to take any questions or queries you have prior to your special day.

How far in advance can we book?

We generally work on a basis of, if we are available, we will be able to book in for you! We don’t tend to cap out at 3 or so years ahead, so if you are completely set on allowing us to share your day with you (and in that case... a huge thank you!) Then we are more than happy to secure any date that is free at the time of a deposit being paid.

Obviously, this does mean that getting in touch with us sooner, rather than later is advised, but you never know if you don’t ask!

What is the deposit amount?

For weddings we ask for a £100 booking deposit, this allows us to fully secure in that date for you. The remaining balance is then due 30 days prior to your wedding date (we will of course advise you on this beforehand – no need for you to be counting days!)

Are there any styles you won’t shoot?

Of course not! A huge part of why we love our job is that we get to share so many different experiences with people, we have seen a lot of variety over the years and truly hope that this continues on as long as possible!

Do we need to visit the venue with you prior to the wedding?

This is largely down a few factors from your personal preference, whether it is a venue we are already familiar with and the location of the venue.

Obviously if it is a destination wedding, visiting the venue prior would be both difficult to arrange and possibly pricey too, so in that case, we are happy to do our own research and for you to send us over anything you are able to that may assist us or be of use!

If we are already familiar with a venue, we are more than happy to meet you over a coffee or even virtually, depending on your preference – after all, we want to make you are comfortable and happy on your big day!

Is there always two of you?

YES!

We work as a pair at all times, so we will always be there together, and this does not affect pricing. We pride ourselves on being able to offer differing angles and having the best opportunity to capture your day as a duo.

Do you travel for Weddings?

Of course! We are honoured to be working with you so naturally, we will be wherever you want us to be.

Some locations (such as those outside of the UK) may require an additional charge, but this will be discussed once we know where your venue is and if it is applicable.

Do you need to be fed?

It is always greatly appreciated to be fed during the day as it is a long day to spend on our feet, but in no way is this ever an expectation – we are happy to bring along a packed lunch, but we just like to know ahead of time so that we can pre-plan for this.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured! We are also able to provide any necessary documentation of this to your venue, if required.

Do you offer Albums, Prints or other products?

Currently we only provide digital versions on either USB or via file transfer, but we are happy to discuss any other requests individually.

Can my favourite song be used in the final film?

This is a bit more of tough one. Due to copyright laws, using licenced music is not always possible, so we will use a royalty free music that we feel fits the best with your day. If prior to the wedding, you find a royalty free song that you would like us to consider using for you, you are more than welcome to send it over and we can discuss with you whether it will be suitable for use depending on speed and style etc!
